Cecilia is a PhD fellow interested in studying the nature and potential for learning and the emergence of innovation capabilities through global technology collaborations in the wind sector. Her PhD thesis will explore why, how and through which mechanisms capabilities may emerge, and how the embeddedness of a technology transfer project relates to the innovation system in the Kenyan wind sector.
Cecilia holds a M.Sc. in Business and Development Studies from Copenhagen Business School and has previously worked as a policy officer in the Strengthening European External Action programme at the European Centre for Development Policy Management in the Netherlands.
Cecilia’s interest in the Kenyan renewable energy sector was sparked through her M.Sc. thesis on innovation and entrepreneurship in renewable energy sector in Nairobi.
